Playing at the skill level that fits you best not only gives you a better experience, but it makes for a better game overall. We built our volleyball program with four major skill levels categories: Recreational (C), Intermediate (B), Upper-Intermediate (B+), and Competitive (A). Use this page to help you determine the best fit for you, then apply for approval for our higher levels if needed.
AA, A, BB and B are levels of play. The levels defined below can blend from one level to the next depending on how people choose to sign up and what levels end up fielding full divisions. For example, if a team signs up for Men’s B based on the description below and no other teams sign up, that team may choose to compete at a higher level thereby skewing the definitions.
Beach volleyball is often a sport available to all levels of play. You should be able to find some sort of organized leagues for all levels of competition in most communities and cities. Beach volleyball has also more various types of competition. You should be able to find leagues for men’s and women’s 2v2 or 4v4, and co-ed 2v2, or 4v4.
Whether you play on the beach or indoor, standing or sitting, there are opportunities across the country to test your skills against others. The USA Volleyball Championship Series, comprised of our four core indoor championship events (USA Volleyball Girls Junior, Girls 18s Junior, Boys Junior and Open National Championships), are the most competitive volleyball events in the country with top teams undergoing qualification to earn coveted bids on an annual basis.
Volleyball: B/BB Softball: B/C Soccer: B. UPPER INTERMEDIATE (Upper Int) – High level of competition. The upper intermediate level is made up of players and teams who have played a while and are ready to stretch themselves competitively. Players tend to be fundamentally strong, teams organized and play is approached strategically. Competition tends to be of high quality. Volleyball: BB/A

"BB" Level is High-Intermediate "BB" players know where to be on the court at all times, and are consistent with their contacts most of the time. BB players generally know where to be defensively most of the time, and are can see open spots to allow their hits and shots to be more effective to earn points offensively.
