Junior Pirates Camp is an introductory camp designed to teach the basic skills of volleyball. From beginners to trained athletes (Years 7 to 10), the camp is a great opportunity for students and new coaches to refine their techniques while having some fun in the school holidays. Format: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Come and support the QLD Pirates as they take on reigning AVL Champions from 2006, the Australian Institute of Sport, at home in round 4 of the 2008 Men’s Australian Volleyball League. The Pirates face the AIS, Sydney UTSSU, Victoria UNI Blues and the Canberra Heat in the final round of the regular season for the 2008 AVL Competition.
A series of development camps are run by Volleyball Queensland during the course of the year, including the popular Pirates Volleyball Camp in January, Future Stars camps in August and September which cater for both Indoor and Beach volleyball development for athletes aged 10 – 23. Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and Junior Premier Volleyball League (JPVL) are the highest levels of weekly volleyball played in South East Queensland. PVL will be offered to six divisions, Premier, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3A, Division 3B and Premier Junior (formerly 19A), while JPVL will be offered to three divisions, U19B, U17 and U15.
